This Privacy Policy explains how Splitiva (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and to being transparent about how your data is handled. By using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
02 Information we collect
Data you provide
- Expense records, categories and notes
- Uploaded images, such as receipts scanned for OCR
- Optional account information, such as email or phone number
Device and technical data
- Device type, operating system version and app version
- Crash logs and diagnostics
- Anonymised analytics data
03 How we collect data
We collect information directly from you when you enter it into the app, and automatically through usage diagnostics and performance monitoring.
04 How we use your information
- To provide and maintain app functionality
- To process OCR receipt scans locally on your device
- To sync your data securely through end-to-end encrypted cloud backup
- To improve app stability and performance
05 SMS access (optional)
On Android, the app may request READ_SMS permission for one purpose only: to automate your expense tracking from the bank alerts you already receive.
- SMS data is used strictly to parse financial transactions locally on your device.
- Raw SMS content is never transmitted to our servers. Message text is stripped before anything syncs.
Local and private. Your personal messages never leave your phone. The parser extracts the amount and merchant on the device, and only the resulting expense record is synced to your end-to-end encrypted vault.
06 Contacts access (optional)
If you grant permission, contacts are used only to help you pick people when splitting an expense.
Never uploaded. We do not store or transmit your contacts. They remain exclusively on your device.
07 Clipboard usage
The app reads clipboard data only when you explicitly use the “Import from clipboard” feature. We do not monitor your clipboard in the background or store its contents without your direct action.
08 In-app purchases
We offer optional subscriptions and one-time purchases for Splitiva Pro and ad removal.
iOS
Processed through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
Android
Processed through Google Play. We do not store payment information.
Renewals. Monthly Pro subscriptions renew through the App Store or Google Play unless cancelled. Lifetime Pro is a one-time payment with no recurring charge.
09 Data security
Synced data is protected with AES-256 end-to-end encryption. Access is restricted and safeguarded using industry-standard practices.
10 Account deletion
You can delete your account from within the app settings, or by contacting us. All associated personal data is permanently wiped on request. See the account deletion page for the exact steps.
