Most finance apps want read access to your bank account. Splitiva never asks, because the design does not need it.
What stays on your device
Splitiva is local-first. Your expenses live in an encrypted store on the phone, and the app is fully usable with sync switched off and no account at all. In that configuration nothing you record ever leaves the device.
- SMS parsing is local. Message text is read on the device and discarded. It is never uploaded, logged or sent to a model in the cloud.
- Receipt OCR is local. Vision Mode processes the image on the phone; the photo is not sent anywhere.
- Insights are local. Generated by the on-device model, using your history, on your hardware.
When you turn sync on
Sync exists so your data survives a lost phone and so group members can share a ledger. When it is enabled, your vault is end-to-end encrypted before it leaves the device. Group data is shared only with the people in that group.
Biometric lock
Require Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint before the app opens.
Device management
See which devices have access and revoke any of them.
Export anything
Take your data out as CSV or PDF whenever you want. It is yours.
Delete for real
One tap wipes your account and its data. Start a deletion request.
